About the experts

A portrait of Cathlyn Fraguela Rios

Cathlyn Fraguela Rios is a Licensed Independent Clinical social worker and the Director of Behavioral Health for Trusana. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and also holds a specialized certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C).

Her professional experience spans community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, integrated primary care, and private practice. Cathlyn has supported a diverse range of clients from children in school-based settings to older adults navigating Alzheimer's and their families. She is also fluent in Spanish allowing her to provide culturally and linguistically accessible care to a broader community. Cathlyn's practice is rooted in the belief that human connection is the cornerstone of meaningful change, and her approach is highly individualized. She is trained in a range of evidence-based modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction which she integrates to meet the unique needs of each person she works with.
