Urgent Care

When you’re afflicted by non-life-threatening conditions, but still need immediate treatment, urgent care offers just that.

At your nearest Providence urgent care location, you can find quick and affordable care when you need it. If you have a medical condition or illnesses that can’t wait, but it is not a life threatening condition, an Urgent Care Center is the right place for you to go. Patients at Urgent Care Centers are typically seen faster, as each patient does not take as much time as most do in a Trauma Center or Emergency Department. If the medical professionals at the Urgent Care Center think that you need an Emergency Department, they will help get you there in a timely manner. Check with your family physician or health plan to find one in your area.

What can urgent care treat?

Urgent care offers all the services ExpressCare offers in addition to extended lab capability, IV fluids and basic X-rays. That means Providence Urgent Care can manage serious conditions like:

  • Burns
  • Minor lacerations and wounds
  • Closed fractures
  • Asthma exacerbations
  • Abdominal pain

The cost of urgent care

The cost of urgent care varies, depending on the treatment you require, though it is almost always less expensive than a trip to the Emergency Department. If you need help with a non-life threatening issue outside of normal business hours, try our ExpressCare Virtual services to get help at low cost.

Find an urgent care location

There is no need to make an appointment for urgent care. Simply find the closest location to you and come right in to get the treatment you need. Most urgent care facilities are open during normal business hours. If you need to be seen in-person right away, emergency care is there for you 24/7.
