myProvidence Member Portal User Agreement


Providence Health Plan and its affiliates (called "Providence" below) offers personalized, interactive tools through the myProvidence Member Portal, www.myprovidence.com, to help you manage your membership with Providence.


All activities within the myProvidence Member Portal are governed by this User Agreement and the Terms of Use & Privacy Policy for this site.


This User Agreement establishes user rights and responsibilities in using the myProvidence Member Portal. Your authorized use of the myProvidence Member Portal constitutes your acceptance of this User Agreement. Please read this User Agreement carefully. We encourage you to review this User Agreement regularly as you use the myProvidence Member Portal.


1. Services available through myProvidence Member Portal


We grant you the right to access and submit information via this site for authorized member activities only. A variety of information and services are made available through the myProvidence Member Portal, including:

  • Information about your plan membership and benefits
  • Claims history and member responsibility
  • Health and wellness tools and services
  • Cost estimators

2. Registration to use myProvidence Member Portal


You may become a registered user by completing the myProvidence Member Portal registration process and agreeing to comply with this User Agreement.


Creating an account for, signing on as, or pretending to be another person constitutes a material breach of this User Agreement.


3. Termination of account


A members account may be terminated at any time, without prior notice and at the discretion of Providence. All rights, title and interest in the myProvidence Member Portal and any of its contents at all times remains the property of Providence.


A members account may be terminated by Providence under the following circumstances:


  • Upon request of the member;
  • In case of a misrepresentation by the member in registering;
  • For violation by the member of this User Agreement or another applicable policy;
  • When the member no longer meets the qualifications for registration; and
  • Upon the termination or shutdown of this site for any reason

4. Communications


4.1 Electronic communications


When you visit the myProvidence Member Portal or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on this website. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.


4.2 Secure messaging


Secure messaging is an encrypted web-based communications process, which offers greater security than conventional email. Providence may provide multiple secure messaging options from within the myProvidence Member Portal. Portal members may receive non-secure email notifications when secure messages have been delivered within the myProvidence Member Portal.


Providence may add or remove the ability of portal members to contact Providence caregiver and departments via secure messaging at any time. Access to some secure messaging services may require an established relationship with Providence.


5. Unauthorized access

You must promptly notify us of any suspected or actual breach in security of which you become aware related to the operation of the myProvidence Member Portal or to the data or information contained therein.

6. Changes to this User Agreement


Providence reserves the right to change this User Agreement from time to time. We will make reasonable attempts to notify you of changes we think may be important to you. Providence reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and this User Agreement at any time. All changes will be effective when published unless a different effective date is specified. Your continued use of the myProvidence Member Portal services after we have posted a change to this User Agreement will be considered your consent to the change.


6.1. Invalidity of any provisions


If any provision of this User Agreement is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this User Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any of this User Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
