The Departments of the Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services issued the Transparency in Coverage final rules (85 FR 72158) on November 12, 2020. Transparency in Coverage rules require non-grandfathered group health plans and health insurance issuers, including Providence Health Plan, in the individual and group markets to disclose certain pricing information. Under the final rules a plan or issuer must disclose in-network negotiated rates, billed amounts and out-of-network allowed dollars through two machine-readable files posted on an internet website.

Plans and issuers are required to make these files public for plan or policy years beginning on or after July 1, 2022.

Providence Health Plan is committed to ensuring that machine readable file data is produced consistently and correctly. This is important data, and we take our responsibility not only to produce it but to do so accurately very seriously.

Like most insurers across the healthcare industry, we have come up against many technical and logistical difficulties to make these files accessible and are still working through some of these challenges.

Once available, we will post the machine readable file data here. Please check back soon. Thank you.
